Administrative Message

  • Greetings Parents/Community Members,

During the month of April, the Lake Preston students and staff finalized the statewide assessments. Students and teachers worked hard to complete the testing and tried their best on every test. Taking state assessments provides feedback to our school district on student knowledge and progress throughout the years, which is valuable for determining the needs of our students.

With field trips, concerts, and other activities coming quickly to wrap up the school year, please communicate with your child(ren)’s teacher about events that will be going on in May. Please pay attention to the school activities calendar, Class Dojo, and Facebook for more information regarding upcoming activities. If you have any questions, please contact the classroom teacher or office.

The last day of school is Wednesday, May 24th at 2:00 p.m. The elementary (Grades K-5) will be having their awards day in the Main Gym at 12:00 p.m. When the awards are finished, students may go home with their parents after they have checked out with their teacher and have all their belongings for the summer. Throughout the summer, please continue to exercise your child(ren)’s mind with reading, hands-on projects, social activities, and being active.

I would like to thank all students, teachers, school employees, parents, and community members for a great school year. I appreciate all the support in making the Lake Preston school system a great place to educate children and providing endless opportunities. If any concerns or questions arise over the summer, please give the elementary office a call at 847-4464 or stop in with our office hours being 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. starting Tuesday, May 30th.

    Best Regards,

    Mr. Dana Felderman,
    Superintendent/Elem. Principal
